The instructors at the MillerWhite School of Design bring with them 25 years of design teaching and applied design experience.

Brian D. Miller

is a professor of design at the University of Bridgeport and is an accomplished thought leader in the areas of branding, web development and design management. Brian’s experience spans from being the in-house creative director of Gartner Inc. – a $1 billion consulting firm – to principal design director of the Brian Miller Design Group LLC. His client experience ranges from GE, NBC Universal, Delta Airlines, Rockstar and 2K Games, BMW, Nat Nast and Unilever. Brian has a masters degree in design management from Pratt Institute and an undergraduate degree in graphic design.

Alex W. White

Alex W. Whiteis an award-winning designer, lecturer, and author. His six books, including The Elements of Graphic Design, Thinking in Type, and Advertising Design and Typography, are required texts for design students around the world and in the personal libraries of many professionals. Alex has taught undergraduate and graduate design students at Parsons the New School for Design (where he was a 2008 Nominee for the New School’s Distinguished Teaching Award), FIT, Syracuse University, the Hartford Art School, the City College of New York, the University of Illinois, and Kent State University. He lectures on ways to enhance creativity in the service of the message and is the chairman of the Type Directors Club.
