The MillerWhite School of Design, located in Fairfield County, Connecticut,
offers a program for talented high-school students interested in exploring
the creative and technical aspects of graphic design. Our curriculum helps
students become visual thinkers regardless of prior art experience.

This Summer's design program will be held at the Harbor View Beach Club in South
Norwalk, CT from July 7-25, 2008.

About the School
The MillerWhite School of Design offers advanced art and
graphic
design coursework whose purpose is to prepare
students for
professional
art education in college. The
faculty provide students the same freshman design coursework offered at
leading
art schools, which will help develop an outstanding portfolio for art school acceptance and may place the student out of some freshman-level art courses.

Classes & Enrollment
The MillerWhite School of Design is now accepting applications for a three-week
Summer program in design. In this intensive design study course students
will explore the following:
Assignment 1: Object translation
Assignment 2: Letterform abstraction
Assignment 3: Hierarchy and space

What is Graphic Design?
Graphic design is the practice of transforming messages into effective,
powerful communications. Graphic design applications include logos and
identities, ads, magazines, Web sites and interactive programs, and motion
graphics and titles. Though the processes and purposes are different, all
the applications use the same design thinking.
